Agnews recently exhibited at two major art fairs in London and New York: Masterpiece London and TEFAF New York. While designing the stand layout for both locations they consciously chose to steer away from a more traditional stand appearance, instead choosing to make a bold statement to complement the paintings and works of art that were on display during both fairs, which included works of art from the 14th to the 20th Centuries.
Taking inspiration from wall coverings that Bute Fabrics had previously installed at the National Galleries of Scotland and the Queen’s Gallery, London, the director of Agnews, Anthony Crichton-Stuart, decided the walls of their stand at both fairs should be covered in a fabric that had both a historic and yet a modern feel in order to create an additional element of interest for the artwork on display.
