Bespoke Tartan and Alchemy Fabrics
The state-of-the-art ‘flagship’ Bank of Scotland branch on Glasgow’s Argyle Street features the product and craftsmanship of many Scottish manufacturers and suppliers, including Bute Fabrics.
Our team were invited to develop a bespoke tartan for the Lloyds Banking Group brand, a design signature features across their flagship branches, complemented by a curated selection of fabrics from our stocked fabric collection.
'In creating our new branch design for Bank of Scotland, our aim was to provide an experience that explored the brand essence of what it means to be Scottish. Drawing on craftsmanship and authenticity with elemental inspirations from the landscape to create something completely unique; a brand signature for our flagship stores. By using Scottish suppliers, manufacturers and photographers we have created a contemporary and welcoming environment which showcases the rich heritage of our Bank of Scotland brand.
Bute Fabrics aligned perfectly with the ambition to deliver an authentic Scottish narrative to every element within the design. A design principle that we have employed is the ‘Mark of the Maker’ - demonstrating craftsmanship which in turn reflects the expertise of the Bank of Scotland colleagues' - Lynn Lees, Design Manager
